Glenrothes Strollers FC have recently received an award as the SFA grassroots Community Football Club of the Year. In a prestigous event held at Hampden Park the award was presented by Kenny Dalgleish and Craig Levein.  This award is in recognition of the progress the club have made in grass roots football.  Having taken a long term lease on their own park and secured substantial investment to improve the facility at OverStenton, the club have been held up as a role model for the rest of Scotland.

This has all helped the clubs membership expand by 80% in 2 years and they have added a girls and Adults section.  They have also had their football coaches volunteering in their local primary schools, delivering football sessions. Really making the club an integral part of the Glenrothes Community. Future plans include installation of floodlighting, pitch barrier fencing and a club house.
